Expandable formers are mechanical devices designed to hold and support the wire during the winding process. These formers can be expanded or contracted based on the required coil size, making them highly versatile for different coil dimensions. After the winding process is complete, the former is expanded to release the wound coil.
Core cutting and forming machines are used to cut thin, insulated steel sheets (called laminations) into precise shapes and sizes. These laminations are then stacked together to form the core of the transformer. The core is the magnetic path that directs the flux between the transformer’s primary and secondary windings.
